All our products have been thorougly tested and went through certifying to ensure that all items used in our line is safe for you, your friends and family – NO harm to planet earth. All our products are made from plants and contain NO added forever chemicals such as Fluorine nor PFAS – which will do irreparable damage to environment

How long does it take for our products to compost?

Since all of our products are derived from plants, all of our items are certified to breakdown within 60 days (CMA requirement) or under 180 days (BPI requirement).

All items have been tested and certified to composte into organic soil (composting at industrial facilities) between 60 days (CMA requirement) – for most products and 180 days (BPI requirement) – for some products

What are our products made out of?

Corn starch

PLA (Polylactide, which is made from corn and other plants). It is a material entirely bio based, which is produced from sugar cane or corn starch which is industrially compostable.

PBAT (Polybutyrate Adipate Terephthalate, which is a fully biodegradable polymer, that when buried in real soil environments breaks down completely with no toxic residues)

How should you store our compostable products?

Products need to be stored in a dry, cool space, such as inside of a kitchen cabinet. Some products vary when it comes to their breakdown period and how they need to be stored. For example our plates/bowls/straws/cutlery, will not naturally disintegrate until they have reach the compost facility. When the products arrive they are greeted with the needed microorganisms, humidity, and warmth to initiate the composting process. Whereas the food storage and trash bags have a shelf life of 540 days. Therefore it is more important to keep these items out of sunlight.
Products need to be stored in a cool, dry enviornment.  Life expectation between products can vary when it come to natural composting timing.  Sunlight, temperature, humidity and enviornment will impact products life span – especially bag items.

Can I recycle compostable products?

It is not recommended to put compostable products in the trash or recycle. We understand that not everyone is given a compost bin option, so just know that though not encouraged, all of our products will still eventually naturally compost in the landfill, though it will not be within the desired 180 days.

Professional compost industrial sites are recommend.  Home composte is feasible but would bring out a lot of potential issues if not properly handled.

If your community composts, you may automatically be provided with a special collection bin, or you may have to sign up for “yard waste” or “green waste” as a separate service which then takes your items to be sorted at a local compost facility. In either case, you will keep your organic waste separate from your garbage and recyclables.
